The Achievements of D&S IFCA Published in 2019/20 Annual Report

D&S IFCA has produced an Annual Report for the period 1st April 2019 to 31st March 2020. The report sets out which tasks D&S IFCA has completed to meet its duty to manage inshore fisheries in the District.

The Annual Report for the 2019 to 2020 period is divided into core work areas. You can read the 2019/20 Annual Report here.

  • Management of Fishing Activities (including byelaw and permit condition development)
  • Compliance
  • Evidence/Research
  • Internal Process (including communication)

Aims of the Annual Report:

  • To be easy to understand and to be effective as a means of reporting;
  • To demonstrate the status of workstreams as compared to those identified in the 2019-20 D&S IFCA Annual Plan;
  • To highlight which work streams, have been completed by 31st March 2020, or remain on track for completion by the original deadlines;
  • To highlight why some workstreams were not completed or not progressed;
  • To demonstrate additional work that has been completed that was not foreseen;
  • To provide a more in-depth account of specific key tasks (case studies).

The monitoring of identified workstreams and documenting which tasks remain on-going or are incomplete has been fundamental in the creation of the D&S IFCA 2020-21 Annual Plan.
