Clean Catch UK has released a survey to gather knowledge for bycatch best practice guidance on sharks, skates, and rays

Devon and Severn IFCA is sharing this news on behalf of Clean Catch UK. Contact Clean Catch UK directly with any questions: secretariat@cleancatchuk.com
This survey will help Clean Catch to create best practice guidance on shark, ray, and skate bycatch for the fishing industry. You can find more information about Clean Catch at www.cleancatchuk.com/.
You can access the survey using the online link, or contact secretariat@cleancatchuk.com for an alternative version. The deadline for responses is 6th May 2026.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and anonymous, and you won’t be expected at any point to tell Clean Catch UK about the level of bycatch you experience in your work.
Please note that D&S IFCA will not be involved in the survey or collating any personal data as part of this project.
