There are currently no active formal public consultations at this time. Recent formal public consultations included the following:
1. Formal Public Consultation – Changes to the Netting Permit Conditions
D&S IFCA invited everyone to respond to the formal public consultation on proposed amendments to existing commercial and recreational Netting Permit Conditions. The formal public consultation ended on 24th April 2026. A report for D&S IFCA’s Byelaw and Permitting Sub-Committee (B&PSC) is now being prepared.
2. Formal Public Consultation – Changes to the Mobile Fishing Permit Conditions
D&S IFCA invited everyone to respond to the formal public consultation on proposed amendments to existing commercial (Category One) Mobile Fishing Permit Conditions. The formal public consultation ended on 7th May 2026. A report for D&S IFCA’s Byelaw and Permitting Sub-Committee (B&PSC) is now being prepared.
What happens next?
On 4th June 2026 the B&PSC will discuss the responses submitted in both the formal public consultations and will determine what changes, if any, will be made to the Netting Permit Conditions and the Mobile Fishing Permit Conditions.
